Family Updates 2020-2021
PSC Community-
The New York City Department of Education has tentatively scheduled September 10th as the first day of classes. We will send a 2020-2021 school year calendar as soon as it is released. Please note that the school day will be 9:00 – 2:30 daily. Additionally, we will provide information on the PSC schedule for 9/10 and 9/11 as soon as we can.
PSC Staff Members will begin communicating with families on Monday August 24th to inform families in which Cohort (A, B, or C) students have been assigned.
BLENDED LEARNING
If you’ve selected BLENDED LEARNING, you will attend school in person on the days highlighted in the chart below. After week 3 ends, the in blended learning cycle will begin with week 1 again. We will begin week one on the first full week of school.

In the blended learning model, students will have a schedule to follow that will include daily Circle (advisory) check-ins from 9:00-9:30 and a minimum of 2 live remote classes per day. Students will receive schedules of when and how to log-in to remote classes before the beginning of school.
100% REMOTE LEARNING
If you’ve selected 100% REMOTE LEARNING to begin the year, schedules for live remote classes will be distributed before the first day of school. Each student will begin the school day with Circles (advisory), via Zoom, with their Circle Leader. Circle Leaders will reach out to students before students’ first day of school.
TOWN HALLS
We will hold another round of family town hall meetings next Tuesday evening (8/25). Please check the PSC Pulse and PSC website for Zoom links to the town halls and for information for 6th grade and 9th grade Orientations.
If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Parent Coordinator Steffen Nelson (SNELSON20@schools.nyc.gov) or to Principal Jill Sandusky (JSANDUSKY@schools.nyc.gov).
