All hands needed! A petition has been launched to urge New York Methodist Hospital to pay for air conditioners at the John Jay campus, to lessen the harmful effects of its three-year construction project on education.

With the warm weather coming, we don't want our kids and teachers sweltering away in sealed-up, un-air-conditioned classrooms. It would cost $150,000 to equip the building with ACs -- barely .03 percent of a project budgeted to cost $445 million.
