This week we learned that Park Slope Collegiate is one of ten high schools in New York City that have been added to SING, a program in which students write, cast, rehearse and perform their own musicals. As a co-located school, PSC will collaborate with the other John Jay Campus high schools in this new theatrical activity.
“SING is a perfect opportunity for the students at the John Jay Campus to collectively strengthen and showcase their theater, dance, music and production skills,” says Principal Jill Bloomberg. “The faculty, staff and students are all looking forward to working together to create a performance that will build community at the same time that it highlights our students’ talents.”
Casting and script-writing is set to begin right away, with the goal of a spring performance. We'll publish more details as we learn about this terrific new program at our school.
